Scott wins on Stevenson's 3-pointer

        Bryan Stevenson made a 3-pointer from the corner at the buzzer, giving Scott a 53-52 come-from-behind victory over Ryle in boys basketball action at Ryle on Tuesday night.

        The Raiders took a 52-50 lead with 17 seconds remaining on a three-point play by Michael Setters.

        Scott advanced the ball to mid-court before Stevenson took a pass in the corner. Without hesitating, Stevenson unleashed the winning shot.

        Ben Lye scored 13 points, and Chris Thompson had 11 for Scott.

        Setters led Ryle with 14 points, and Kevin Steiner added 13.

        • Holy Cross 63, Boone County 54 — Rob Feldman and Josh Beiting each scored six points in the decisive first quarter, pushing the Indians to an 18-4 lead.

        Boone County rallied to within two points in the fourth quarter, but the Indians sank nine of 11 free throws, four by Tyler Gastright, to seal the game.

        • Clark Montessori 55, Northern Kentucky Christian 54 — Tristan Norris and Alex Adams scored key field goals in the fourth quarter, enabling the Blue Lightning to win their first varsity basketball game.

        The third quarter was the difference, with Mike Gentile hitting three consecutive 3-pointers as Clark erased a six-point deficit.

        Silver Grove's Woody Richmond led all scorers with 25 points, including five 3-pointers. Jimmy Horstman added 18 points for the Big Trains.
