The Cincinnati Enquirer
One Price Hill man is dead and another is wanted by police after an early Friday morning fight outside a Price Hill restaurant.
David Anthony Garcia, 22, of 2442 Ferguson Road died Friday from injuries suffered during the struggle. Police said they were told Mr. Garcia was the victim of an assault and had a serious head injury.
No official cause of death was given Friday night. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
Officers spent Friday searching for 24-year-old Robert Allen Meyer, whose last known address is 750 Mount Hope Ave. Mr. Meyer is accused of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Mr. Garcia's death. Mr. Meyer was still missing late Friday.
Police officers were called to Franciscan Hospital-Western Hills Campus about 4 a.m. Friday to investigate the circumstances of a severely beaten man. Mr. Garcia was taken to the hospital by some one at the scene of the assault. He was eventually transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he later died.
Police say the fight took place near the intersection of Elberon and Warsaw avenues about 3:50 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a White Castle restaurant. Investigators would not say what the fight was about.
Mr. Meyers is described as 5-foot-10, weighing about 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen westbound on Elberon Avenue from Warsaw Avenue.
The Cincinnati homicide unit is asking anyone with information on the death or Mr. Meyers' whereabouts to contact them at 352-3542, or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040. Callers can remain anonymous.
