Ducks snap 8-game losing skid

ALBANY, N.Y. Ryan Hoople, playing in his first AHL game, made 39 saves as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Albany River Rats Saturday night.
Hoople, who had been playing with ECHL Huntington before signing a tryout contract with Cincinnati, blocked all 14 shots in the final period.
