PGA lures Shaker Run pro

LOCAL GOLF NOTEBOOK

BY JACK MURRAY
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Dan Strohmeier of Lebanon has been named head pro at the PGA of America's Country Club in St. Lucie County, Fla. Strohmeier, 33, served the last four years at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, working as director of golf, manager of operations and head pro.

TAFT CONNECTION: Elizabeth “Libba” Galloway has been hired away from the Cincinnati law firm of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister to be senior vice president and chief legal officer of the LPGA Tour, following commissioner Ty Votaw and former commissioner Charlie Mechem.

“Taft may become recognized as a pipeline to the LPGA,” Votaw said. “I worked with Libba at Taft, and she is one of the finest legal minds with which I have worked.”
