Remember the name Whitney Myers, a 15-year-old freshman swimmer for Ursuline.
Myers introduced herself to the Cincinnati high school swimming community Saturday, anchoring the Lions' winning 400 medley relay team and winning the 400 individual medley in the Southwestern Ohio Swimming Officials Classic at St. Xavier's Keating Natatorium. She also placed second in the 500 freestyle.
Myers was one of many bright spots for an Ursuline team that took a commanding lead after the first day of com petition with 3501/2 points, ahead of Oak Hills with 209..
St. Xavier is well ahead in the boys competition, with 480 points, ahead of Anderson with 168. Scott Ransenberg (100 butterfly), Jayme Cramer (100 backstroke) and Brett Burns (200 breaststroke) were event winners for the Bombers.
