Warren Co. auto title office back in business
BY SHEILA McLAUGHLIN

LEBANON The Warren County auto title branch was set to move back into its cleaned-up office on Dave Avenue today, while officials planned the relocation of another branch.
Clerk of Courts James Spaeth said he plans to move the Franklin office at 345 Main St. to a vacant storefront at 245 S. Main in early March, to coincide with the upgrade of a computer system. The current site, the former Franklin post office building, was recently sold, he said.
Workers at the Lebanon office at 19 Dave Ave. planned to reopen that branch today after a two-week shutdown caused by a sewer backup.
On Jan. 3, raw sewage splattered the office and flooded the carpeting, rendering the branch a mess.
The 3,000-square-foot space was disinfected last week, new carpet was laid, and furniture and office equipment were moved back in. Files and computers were untouched by the foul water, Mr. Spaeth said.
We were fortunate the computer server was never out of service, and we were able to maintain operations in the branch offices, he said.
Staff was moved to the Franklin and Mason offices during the cleanup.
County officials blamed the incident on unusually heavy rains that caused storm sewers to back up into the sanitary sewer system.
