Skirt Game indoors Saturday
The Delhi Skirt Game Committee you know, the Delhi Athletic Assoc. guys who dress in really bad drag and play a Skirt Game every August as a fund-raiser is switching it's field of play.
So are a bunch of former baseball players.
They'll all meet in a celebrity basketball game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hills High School, 3200 Ebenezer Road, Green Township.
The Delhi team is former Oak Hills and Elder High School jocks, traditionally tooth-and-nail west-side rivals who make peace when it comes to raising money, says game coordinator Clyde Kober.
The baseball players include Pete Rose Jr. (Phillies), Bill Wegman (Brewers), Len Matuszek (Dodgers), Brian Koelling (Reds), Scott Klingenbeck (Reds), Ryan Spille (Blue Jays), Steve Oliverio (Reds) and more.
Funds they raise will go to 7-year-old Emily Ossing, who is being treated for a brain tumor.
Tickets are $7, $3 for students, at the door. Call 451-1197 for info.
