Amos new editor of Kentucky Enquirer

BY TERRY FLYNN
The Cincinnati Enquirer

FORT MITCHELL — Denise Amos, an editor and reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch with a background in business, has been named editor of The Kentucky Enquirer.

Ms. Amos, 37, served from 1997 until her move here as an assistant metro editor and team leader for a group at the Post-Dispatch that covered courts, crime and public safety. She was a business reporter there from 1995-1997.

A 1984 graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, she has also worked as a business reporter for the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times (1990-1995), The Detroit News (1989-1990), The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel (1986-1989), and the Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press (1985-1986).

“We are very pleased that Denise Amos has joined our efforts as Kentucky editor,” said Ward Bushee, Enquirer vice president and editor. “She has a proven track record and will bring great things to The Kentucky Enquirer.

“I feel very fortunate to be working as a journalist in Northern Kentucky, and to embark on this adventure with such strong and caring journalists,” Ms. Amos said.
