Kusama, Lonergan share top Sundance honors

PARK CITY, UTAH - Girlfight, directed by Karyn Kusama and You Can Count On Me, by Kenneth Lonergan shared the Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic Feature in the Sundance Film Festival.
A jury of filmmakers and critic Janet Masslin selected the two films for top honors out of 16 features in competition.
Ms. Kusama also won the feature directing award and Mr. Lonergan won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.
Other winners from this year's festival are:
Documentary Grand Jury Prize, Long Night's Journey Into Day by Frances Reid and Deborah Hoffmann.
Documentary Audience Award, Dark Days by Marc Singer.
Documentary Directing Award to Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman for Paragraph 175.
Audience Award For Feature, Two Family House directed by Raymond DeFelitta.
Freedom of Expression Award, Dark Days.
Excellence in Cinematography: Documentary, Marc Singer for Dark Days and Andrew Young for Americanos: Latino Life in the United States; Drama: Tom Krueger for Committed.
Special Jury Prize, Documentary: The Ballad of Ramblin' Jack for artistic achievement and George Wallace: Settin' The Woods On Fire for writing; Dramas: Songcatcher for ensemble performance and Donal Logue for The Tao of Steve for outstanding performance.
Jury Prize in Latin American Cinema, Herod's Law by Luis Estrada and No One Writes to the Colonel by Arturo Ripstein.
World Cinema Audience Award, Saving Grace by Nigel Cole.
Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking, Five Feet High and Rising by Peter Sollett.
