Ryland Heights forum on water
The Cincinnati Enquirer
RYLAND HEIGHTS Residents interested in learning about efforts to bring city water to part of this rural Kenton County town can attend a meeting Thursday with the Northern Kentucky Water Service District.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Ryland Heights city building.
Fairview Mayor Harold Parks said three representatives of the water district will answer questions about a project that would affect about 15 homes and one business on the southern end of Ky. 177.
We're looking for some kind of commitment as to what the water district will or won't do, Mr. Parks said. If they're not ready to start on the project, we want to know what else we can do as a city to expedite it.
Survey to gauge job market for seniors The Cincinnati Enquirer
CRESTVIEW HILLS Students at Thomas More College are surveying employers to study job options for Northern Kentucky retirees.
Masters students in the Thomas More Accelerated Program have mailed questionnaires.
Five questions ask employers whether there are available jobs that could be filled by senior citizens, what those jobs are, the times workers would be needed, and the pay range.
Businesses are also asked whether they would pay a fee to fund a program to match seniors with employers.
