Mason Co. squeaks by Holy Cross

        Mason County guard Emily Butler sank a free throw with three seconds left in the game, giving the Royals a 55-54 victory over Holy Cross in a girls basketball game at Holy Cross Wednesday night.

        MASON COUNTY (55) — Alexander 8 0 16, Losfton 2 5 9, Barbour 2 0 4, Brooks 2 2 6, Wallingford 0 4 4, Butler 5 5 16. Totals: 19 16 55.

        HOLY CROSS (54) — Gardner 6 1 14, Noll 3 1 7, Mitts 3 1 7, Warken 1 1 3, Halpin 4 0 9, Bogelpohl 0 3 3, Englemon 1 0 2, Hall 0 1 1, Ryan 2 0 6. Totals: 21 8 54.
