Alex Sanders scored a career-high 33 points and Tremaine Fowlkes added 18 to lead the Cincinnati Stuff to a 96-90 victory over the San Diego Stingrays Wednesday night before a crowd of 1,981 at the Firstar Center.
I had a little slump in the first five or six games of the season, but my teammates kept believing in me, Sanders, a 6-foot-7 forward, said.
Sanders has reached double figures in 17 consecutive games. His previous career high was 24 points.
Cincinnati (20-6) improved to 14-1 at home and expanded its lead over the Trenton Stars to seven games in the IBL's East Division.
San Diego (4-21), now 1-13 on the road, fell 131/2 games behind the St. Louis Swarm in the IBL West Division. The Stringrays, the league's lowest-scoring and worst-shooting team, have lost six games in a row.
