MIDDLETOWN A Vail Middle School teacher accused of assaulting a seventh-grade student is back in the classroom after investigations by police and school officials found no criminal wrongdoing.
The teacher was accused of pushing a student Jan. 19, after an incident in which a desk was dropped on the teacher's foot.
Allegations of an attack or assault were not substantiated by the facts, said Karen Jackson, school and community relations specialist for the Middletown/Monroe Schools.
The teacher was put on administrative leave during the investigation, Ms. Jackson said. The student involved has been reassigned to another instructor, Ms. Jackson said.
