Holy Cross runs past Newport

The Cincinnati Enquirer

        Ray Arlinghaus led a 29-point outburst in the third quarter as Holy Cross beat Newport 79-71 in a boys basketball game at Newport Wednesday night.

        Arlinghaus scored 10 points in the third quarter, including two 3-pointers, and Rob Feldman also made a 3-pointer. The Indians then sank seven free throws during the final three minutes to wrap it up.

        Thomas Petty and Matt Muench each scored 22 for Newport.
