Auto Expo opens today at convention center
Ford, Chrysler and General Motors will roll out their cars of the future for Auto Expo 2000, which runs today through Sunday at the Albert B. Sabin Convention Center, downtown.
The eye-turning autos include a redesigned Thunderbird, a new Jeep designed for demanding rescue operations in rugged terrain and a Honda Insight that runs on both gas and electric batteries.
Special attractions include an autograph session with Indy Racing League driver Scott Goodyear, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday.
Visitors can also register to win a new car.
The auto show is presented by the Greater Cincinnati Auto Dealers Association and The Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Post.
Hours: 6-9 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $6; $2.50 for children 13 and under. Two-for-one admissions are offered 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
