TV picks: More tough sweeps choices at 9 p.m. today, so TV critic John Kiesewetter says you're on your own: Drew Carey hires an old girlfriend which upsets his present steady (Channels 9, 2); a mysterious fourth alien emerges on Roswell (Channel 64); Sally Hemings: An American Scandal,which won Sunday's ratings, concludes (Channels 12, 7); and The West Wing staff goes crazy when a Supreme Court nominee is jailed for drunk driving and resisting arrest (Channels 5, 22), though last week's West Wing death penalty show will be hard to top.

Disc picks: Bob Dylan's first new batch of songs since his Grammy-winning Time Out of Mind hits stores this week, as he contributes four new tunes to the soundtrack to Wonder Boys (Columbia; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette). He shares the disc with vintage cuts by John Lennon, Neil Young, Talking Heads, Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison.
Singer/songwriter Tracy Chapman is back with Telling Stories(Elektra; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette) with a guest list including stellar harmony singer Emmylou Harris.
The Who: The BBC Sessions (MCA; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette) collects 25 performances from British television and radio shows recorded in the band's classic era 1965-1973.
Jazzwoman Diana Krall's Grammy nomination could just as easily have gone to the the equally wonderful Brazilian singer/pianist Eliane Elias, says the Enquirer's Larry Nager. Ms. Elias' new CD, Everything I Love (Blue Note; $16.98 CD only), arrives in stores this week.
2000 Grammy Awards Rap Nominees (BMG; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette) features such hopefuls as Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Will Smith, Missy Elliott and the Roots with Erykah Badu.
