NKU men, women sweep Southern Illinois
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. NKU junior guard Brian Lawhon scored 20 points. in a 81-70 win over Souther Illinois-Edwardsville.
Senior forward Scott Marston added 17 points as NKU improved to 24-4 overall, 16-3 in the GLVC. The Norse, ranked No.19 nationally in Division II, shot 69.6 percent from the field in the second half to break open a close game.
Lawhon and Marston both made five 3-point shots against SIUE. Junior center Zach Wieber came off the bench and added 14 points, and junior forward Adam Norwell scored 12 points in a reserve role.

The longest winning streak in NKU women's basketball history is 25 straight, set during the 1975-76 season. The Norse won 22 consecutive games last season before losing in the Division II tournament semis.
