CovCath edges Boone in OT

Brian McQuade and Matt Finke hit back-to-back field goals at the start of overtime for Covington Catholic, and McQuade made six free throws to help the fourth-ranked Colonels clinch a 56-48 victory over Boone County Friday night.
Boone's Matt Seever sent the game into overtime by making a fading 6-foot jumper as the buzzer sounded at the end of regulation.
McQuade led all scorers with 20 points and Steve Purdon added 15.
Mike Faehr recorded a double-double for the Rebels with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
