TRISTATE MARKET SPOTLIGHT

Analyst's view, new deals boost SDRC

Shares of Structural Dynamics Research Corp. gained $1.25, or 9.6 percent, Tuesday to close at $14.25. The stock had traded as high as $14.50 during the day.

SDRC, based in Milford, was raised to “accumulate” from “maintain position” by analyst William H. Brown at A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. Tuesday.

The company, which makes and sells software for mechanical design automation and product management, also announced Tuesday new deals with Mercedes Benz Passenger Car Division and Logicon, a Northrop Grumman Co. unit.
