TRENTON, N.J. Alex Sanders scored 23 points and Tremaine Fowlkes added 22 as the Cincinnati Stuff snapped their first two-game losing streak with a 104-91 win over the Trenton Shooting Stars on Sunday night at the Sovereign Bank Arena.
With the victory, Cincinnati improves to 28-10; Trenton falls to 19-21. The win moves the Stuff 10 games ahead of Trenton for first place in the IBL's East Division.
The Stuff were in control the entire game and led 45-38 at the half and by as many as 19 points in the third quarter. Guard Lenny Brown added to the third-quarter assault with three 3-pointers. Brown finished the game with 18 points.
We did what we needed to tonight, and that was to come in here and dictate the flow of the game, Stuff coach Joby Wright said. The last two times we came to Trenton, they pushed us around and beat us up.
