Central wins Christian state title

Michelle Wheeler scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the third quarter Saturday, and Central Baptist went on to a 46-39 victory over top-seeded Xenia Nazarene for the Christian Schools of Ohio state championship.
It was the second consecu tive state championship for Central Baptist, located in Finneytown.
Central, the third seed, upset second-seeded HTR Christian Friday night. Central outscored Xenia 16-9 in the third quarter.
Amber Holland added seven points and 21 rebounds for Central, which finished the season 17-5 on a six-game winning streak. Cassidy Wodke added 13 rebounds, after an 18-rebound performance in the semifinals.
