Schedule works for Tristate

BY JOHN FAY
The Cincinnati Enquirer

The folks at Channel 12 couldn't have been happier with the way the bracket turned out for the NCAA Tournament. The game times have worked out so there are no major conflicts.

Last year, the Cincinnati-Temple game and Miami-Utah game overlapped in the second round.

“We like all the games we're getting,” Channel 12 General Manager Bill Moll said.

Channel 12 worked out the following lineup with CBS for Thursday:

        • 12:20 p.m., Kentucky vs. St. Bonaventure

        • 3 p.m.: Purdue-Dayton

        • 7:40 p.m.: Michigan State-Valparaiso

        • 9:57 p.m.: Wisconsin-Fresno State.

“The only other game we liked was Louisville-Gonzaga,” Moll said. “We're getting Michigan State instead. But that's a "flex,' so you'll see enough of both.”

The schedule for Friday hasn't been set. But Channel 12 will air the Cincinnati and Ohio State games.

Cincinnati plays North Carolina-Wilmington at 12:30p.m. Ohio State takes on Appalachian State at 7:50p.m.
