Local coaches share state honors

        COLUMBUS, Ohio — Springboro coach Rick Creager shared the Ohio Division II girls basketball coach of the year award announced Tuesday.

        Creager, who led the Panthers to a 21-4 record and a regional semifinal appearance despite having no seniors, shared the honor with Jessica Smith of Columbus Bishop Hartley and Steve Borgis of Medina Buckeye.

        Richard Kiser of Eastern Brown, who directed his team to an unbeaten season and the Division III state tournament, shared the honor in Division III.
