Tonight's other regional semifinals

        • Hamilton (13-11) vs. Beavercreek (23-1) Division I regional semifinal 8 p.m. tonight, University of Dayton Arena: Hamilton and its Cinderella tournament run meets Beavercreek, a senior-dominated team that last year came within two points of winning the regional and going to state.

“This is a great opportunity to play one of the best teams in the state,” Hamilton coach Larry Allen said. “Hopefully, we can execute the way we've been executing in the last four games.”

Beavercreek is well-balanced offensively, led by senior guards Ted Williams (18 ppg) and Jamie Holden (11 ppg, 7.5 apg).

Defensively, Beavercreek uses an effective matchup zone. Hamilton's game plan will be to stay close, then pull it out at the end. The winner of this game advances to meet the Elder- St. X winner in the regional title game on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at UD Arena.

        • Purcell Marian (21-3) vs. Columbus Watterson (16-7) Division II regional semifinal 6:15 p.m. tonight , Wright State University.

Purcell returns to the regional for the first time since 1995 Watterson is led by 6-2 senior Aron Rolsen (16 ppg), a slasher who tied his career high with 26 against DeSales. Rolsen was first-team all-district. Teammate Jack Swartz (14 ppg) is a 6-1 guard who was third-team all-district. Watterson made it to regionals after losing three times in the last five years in the district title game.

The winner advances to meet either Dayton Christian or Bellefontaine for the regional title on Saturday at 3 p.m. at University of Dayton Arena.
