Springfield 4, Mighty Ducks 1

        SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Jean-Guy Trudel scored a pair of goals and Robert Esche made 39 saves to lead the Springfield Falcons to a 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Saturday night in the AHL at the Springfield Civic Center.

        Former Mighty Duck Philippe Audet and Chris Winnes (empty-net, shorthanded goal) also scored for Springfield, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

        Bob Wren had the lone goal for Cincinnati.

        The Mighty Ducks play the sixth game of a current eight-game, 14-day road trip tonight at Rochester. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
