Indiana woman, 61, dies after head-on crash

The Cincinnati Enquirer

LIBERTY, Ind. — A 61-year-old Connersville woman was fatally injured Monday in a head-on collision on Ind. 44, 21/2 miles west of here.

Alise Moore was pronounced dead on arrival at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, following the 2:05 p.m. crash, Indiana State Police said.

The victim was driving east on Ind. 44 when she went left of center and struck a westbound car, state police said. The driver of the westbound car, April Phillips, 21, of Con nersville, was transported to Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville for treatment of a lower leg injury.

State police had received calls about the Moore vehicle driving recklessly on Ind. 44 before the crash, police officials said.
