Heart Mini-Marathon events




        • What: ChoiceCare/Humana Cincinnati Heart Mini-Marathon 23.

        • Cost: $25.

        • Registration: You can enter at the Convention Center (third floor) from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today and starting at 7 a.m. Sunday.

        • When: First race begins at 9 a.m. Sunday.

        • Results: Will be published in Monday's Enquirer as well as on Enquirer.com

        TODAY'S EVENTS

        At Fitness Clinic, Convention Center (3rd Floor)

        • 11 a.m.: Free cholesterol testing (all day)

        • Noon: Kids' Fun Run (Elm Street side of Convention Center); party follows race

        • 12:30p.m.: Performance by Ropin' Rockets, jump-rope team from North Avondale School

        • 1p.m.: Talk by Eek Keller, 85, who has won two World Cup competitions, along with a panel of local runners and personalities

        • 2p.m.: Hip-hop demonstration by Better Bodies

        • Aerobics demos, face painting and fitness testing goes on throughout the day. There will be more than 50 booths.

        SUNDAY'S EVENTS

        • 9a.m.: 5K race leaves Fountain Square, out Columbia Parkway. Turn-around is between Bains and Kemper.

        • 10:30a.m.: 15K Heart Mini-Marathon leaves Fountain Square. Columbia Parkway to Delta Avenue turn-around, finish at 5th and Walnut.

        • Noon: 10K HeartWalk begins. Turn-around just before Torrence.

        • 12:15 p.m.: Kids' 2K Mini-MaraFun — timed race for ages 7-12 — begins.
