Local slot machines not a bad bet

What happens to all those quarters you put in the slot machine at your favorite riverboat casino? If you last long enough, more than 90 percent of them will come back to you.
Both Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg and Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun are among the industry leaders in paybacks, or how much of the money wagered is returned to the customer.
At Argosy, the payout from slot ma chines was 94.06 percent last year, and at Grand Victoria, it totaled 93.61 percent, according to Casino Player magazine.
In February, visitors bet $392 million in slot machines at Argosy, and the company won, or collected gross gaming revenue of $22.7 million.
Similarly, Grand Victoria won $11.6 million on bets of about $166 million during the month, according to numbers from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
