Follow the Oscars on the Web
If hours of TV coverage are not enough, here are some Web sites catering to hard-core Oscar-holics:
Oscar.com The official site for the event itself contains plenty of background, photos, contests, and many pages worth of behind-the-scenes info, including video clips.
Oscar.org The official site of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the place to go for history and statistics, official press releases, technical awards and details on the Academy's non-Oscar activities including scholarships and grants for aspiring filmmakers.
Hollywood.com A jazzy commercial site that features a good collection of photos, as well as interactive bells and whistles such as clips from the nominated films and from the nominees' luncheon.
Eonline.com Joan and Melissa Rivers hold forth on fashion, Ted Casablanca leads a live chat during the ceremony, plus there are links to show-business stories of every kind.
