Cincinnati police Tuesday were searching for suspects in two bank robberies that occurred within seconds of each other at 3:33 p.m. Tuesday.
The first bank robbery occurred at the Fifth Third Bank branch in the 6000 block of Montgomery Road in Pleasant Ridge.
Fourteen seconds after the first alarm was received by police, a second alarm was received from the Key Bank branch in the 2200 block of Beechmont Avenue in Mount Washington.
Police said the two offenses do not appear to be related.
Two men, both armed with shiny silver-colored handguns, entered the Fifth Third Bank, demanded money and fled.
One suspect was described as a black male, 20-30, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, 250 to 275 pounds, wearing a black cloth jacket with a hood, and baggy blue jeans with white stitching. Witnesses deescribed him as sloppy fat.
The second suspect was described as a black male, 20-30, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 5 inches, 250 pounds, wearing a black cloth jacket with a hood, dark pants and light-colored work boots.
The suspect in the Key Bank robbery was described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches, 140-150 pounds, wearing a dark ball cap, dark blue jacket and dark pants. Police said the suspect may have red dye on his skin due to a dye pack exploding as he fled.
Anyone with information on the bank robberies is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040 or the Cincinnati Police Division's homicide unit at 352-3542.
