Pops' 2000-01 season
Pops conductor Erich Kunzel will conduct seven of the nine subscription concerts. Concerts begin at 8 p.m.
Sept. 8-10 Celebrate Dave Brubeck's 80th Birthday! Erich Kunzel, conductor; The Dave Brubeck Quartet. The first half includes Beatles classics, including Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, Michele, and Hard Day's Night.
Oct. 20-22 Celebrate Halloween! Erich Kunzel, conductor. The Return of Chiller. Music from recent and classic horror films and TV series.
Nov. 12 Celebrate The Silent Clowns! Films Sherlock, Jr., featuring Buster Keaton, and The Pilgrim, featuring Charlie Chaplin. Dennis James, organ; Carl Daehler, conductor.
Dec. 8-10 Celebrate The Holidays! Erich Kunzel, conductor; the King's Singers. Traditional favorites.
Jan. 14 Celebrate The Golden Age of Swing! Erich Kunzel, conductor; Jazz Ambassadors of the United States Army Field Band, Chief Warrant Officer Freddie Vinson, Jr., director; Carla Heiney and Steven Bailey, Lindyhop/Swing Dancers; Michael Gough, vocalist. Eight concerts (five Saturdays; three Sundays): $104-$284.

Single tickets ($16-$44.50, $60 box seats) go on sale to subscribers Aug. 9 and to the general public Aug. 16.
