Ducks lose last shot at playoffs

LOUISVILLE, Ky Dan Boyle scored a pair of goals, and Chad Cabana had a goal and an assist to lead the Louisville Panthers to a 6-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Wednesday in the American Hockey League.
Dave Duerden, Marcus Nilsson and Nick Smith also scored for Louisville, which improved to 8-3-0-0 in its last 11 games. Sean Gauthier made 22 saves to raise his record to 20-11-2.
Bob Wren and Frank Banham had goals for the Mighty Ducks, whose third straight loss eliminated them from being in the Calder Cup playoffs for the second time in three seasons.
The Mighty Ducks host the Hershey Bears at 7:35p.m. Friday.
