3 taken to hospital after leak at plant

        FAIRFAX — At least three people were transported to area hospitals Thursday night following an oil leak at a plant on Red Bank Road.

        The leak at the plant in the 4000 block of Red Bank Road resulted in a large amount of oil mist in the air, a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office dispatcher said. Several employees who reported breathing difficulties were transported to the hospital, the dispatcher said.

        Two people were being evaluated in the emergency room at University Hospital late Thursday.

        The leak was reported at 9:25 p.m. A hazardous materials unit was on the scene late Thursday. The leak was reported confined to the plant at 11:40 p.m. and a cleanup was underway.
