Reward offered in hit-and-run death

BY Tom O'Neill
The Cincinnati Enquirer

The family of a Green Township man is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person who fatally ran him over on Colerain Avenue in February, dragging his body before driving off.

Isaias Villalon, 29, of North Bend Road, was found dead on Banning Road in Mount Airy at 2:21 a.m. on Feb 19. Police think he might have been struck on Colerain Avenue, north of Ban ning Road.

Cincinnati police traffic unit officer Joe Stevens said there is a possibility it was an accident, but that determination can't be made until the driver comes forward.

Meanwhile, the victim's widow, Anita Villalon, has a 2-year-old son and is three months pregnant. She also had to endure traveling to Mr. Villalon's native Chile to tell his family.

“I have a little boy who is 3 in June, and he's always asking me "Where's my da-da?'” she said. “You can't imagine the devastation. It's so hard to think there's somebody out there who did this and is getting away with it, but I can't let this rest.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040 or the Cincinnati police traffic unit at 352-2514.
