The Cincinnati Enquirer
UNION TOWNSHIP A man and a woman who are suspects in a Friday afternoon bank robbery here were arrested in the Fairfield Township home of one of the suspect's parents, police said.
The robbery occurred about 1:30 p.m. at First National Bank of Southwestern Ohio, Princeton-Glendale Road in Butler County. No one was hurt.
By 4 p.m. the suspects had been removed by Butler County sheriff's deputies and a Fairfield Township police officer from the basement of a house in the 3500 block of Lakewood Court, where they were hiding. Late Friday, authorities were trying to obtain a warrant to search the house.
Police did not immediately release the suspects' names.
This is a good case of a joint effort with a lot of different departments working together and getting it done quickly, said Capt. Alan Laney of Fairfield Township police. Fairfield Township police and the Butler County Sheriff's Office were assisting Union Township police and the FBI with the investigation.
A bank employee declined to discuss whether any money was taken, or how many people were inside the bank when the robbery occurred.
