Staying In
TV picks: In the season finale — and possibly the series finale — a hospital company plans to buy Chicago Hope, fire the staff and sell all the equipment (9 p.m., Channels 12, 7).

TV Critic John Kiesewetter also says the 20th Century with Mike Wallace looks at “The Legacy of Kent State” on the 30th anniversary of the four student deaths (7 p.m., History Channel). The Discovery Channel airs a Kent State retrospective 10-11 p.m. Friday.

The Goods (What's in stores today)
Baseball at the Ritz: Those little perforations on special Ritz crackers make the little discs look like baseballs. A box (about $3.29) of the newly designed crackers sports a photo of Ken Griffey Jr. (in the wrong uniform). To go on top: matching Nabisco Easy Cheese ($3.49) But look before you munch. If you get a cracker with the words “Grand Slam” baked into it, you've just won a free trip for four to the 2000 World Series.

Brand Spankin' New
Jump from julep: Makers of Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Bourbon, Labrot & Graham in Versailles, Ky., sponsored a national contest to come up with another drink to toast the Kentucky Derby. Bartender Travis Price of Dayton, Ohio, won the contest with his Woody's Teaser: Fill highball glass with ice. Add 11/2 ounces Woodford Reserve, 1 ounce Drambuie and 4 ounces ginger ale. Stir and drop grenadine down side of glass. Garnish with cherry and lemon wheel.
