HAMILTON — When a favorite performer returns to the Fitton Center this week, he'll be bringing an old friend with him.

Elliot Engel, known for breathing life into historical figures, will reveal the personal side of Sir Winston Churchill in a lecture/performance at 8 p.m. today.

Rick H. Jones, executive director of the Fitton Center, said Mr. Engel's program will cover touching stories of Mr. Churchill's childhood as well as mo ments of triumph from his political career.

“Dr. Engel has dug deeply into numerous Churchill biographies and records, and has discovered virtually unknown stories that reveal an even more inspiring public and private figure,” Mr. Jones said.

Tickets to Sir Winston Churchill are $10 for Fitton Center members, $12 for nonmembers and $5 for students. The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is at 101 S. Monument Ave. in Hamilton. Information: 863-8873.
