How eligibility rules vary among local schools
1999-2000 Ohio Minimum Requirements
(Set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association)
Pass four courses that count toward graduation and maintain a minimum grade point average as established by the local school board. The grades must be achieved in the quarter preceding the current activity. Minimum usually considered to be 1.0 on a scale of 0.0-4.0.
2000-2001 Ohio Minimum Requirements
Passing five courses that count toward graduation and maintain a minimum GPA as established by the local school board. The grades must be achieved in the quarter preceding the current activity. Minimum usually considered to be 1.0 on a scale of 0.0-4.0.
1999-2000 Cincinnati Public Schools Minimum Requirements
Passing all subjects taken and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students who have a GPA of less than 2.0 and are passing all their classes or have a GPA of higher than 2.0 but fail a class are allowed to go on academic probation and continue participation, but only twice during their high school career.
