St. X faces Walnut Hills in tennis regional

The Cincinnati Enquirer

St. Xavier defeated Walnut Hills 3-2 two weeks ago to take over the No.1 spot in The Cincinnati Enquirer's final weekly boys tennis poll.

Coach Chris Hemingway's Walnut Hills team will be out to even the score 4 p.m. today when St. Xavier plays host to the Eagles in the regional semifinals of the State Team Tournament at St. X.

“The key matches will be No.2 singles and No.2 doubles,” Hemingway said. “I'm not sure who will play for either team, but the outcome will probably decide it.”

The winner advances to the regional championship match next week against Princeton.
