Lawyer: Inmate's life threatened
Asks for removal from Butler jail
By Steve Kemme
The Cincinnati Enquirer
HAMILTON A man who is accused of molesting and killing his 2-year-old daughter has received three threatening letters from fellow inmates at the Butler County Jail, his attorney said Tuesday.
Christopher Fuller has been held at the jail since his March 21 arrest on charges of murder, two counts of rape, attempted rape and felonious assault.
Police said he told them he became angry when his 2-year-old daughter, Brandi, resisted his attempts to sexually assault her.
He struck her twice in the chest, causing her death, authorities said.
Mr. Fuller's attorney, Ron Morgan, said the 29-year-old Hamilton man received three anonymous death-threat letters from other inmates.
Mr. Morgan made the admission during a pretrial hearing before Common Pleas Judge Matthew Crehan.
The judge said he could do nothing about it, and urged Mr. Morgan to alert the sheriff's department.
Judge Crehan said it might be better if Mr. Fuller were removed from the general jail population.
We don't want him in the hole, Mr. Morgan said, referring to an isolation cell sometimes used to punish unruly prisoners.
