This pig's pen: Union Terminal.
You were inspired by: The movie The Wizard of Oz.
You want people to look at this pig and think: I want people to think of it as a three-dimensional canvas with the Emerald City, the characters on the Yellow Brick Road, the Wicked Witch coming down from her mountain, Glenda, Toto and the Wizard in his balloon.
Completing the project took: Five weeks.
Swine over matter: Acrylic exterior gloss paint, with a masonry sealer that's not too glossy so the brush strokes will show.
Your high on the hog was: Working with my daughter Amanda Hogan. She has her own pig, Dandelion Swine, and we did a third pig, Shakin' Bacon, together.
Pig peeve: We worked in our unattached garage with no heat, and it was really cold.
Best pig tale: The feeling of triumph I had to make the faces of the characters recognizable, but not so close that there were no copyright problems.
My favorite pork dish: I love bacon in my omelets and barbecued pork shops.
What artistic movement most affected this pig? Book illustration.
What do you call this pig: I call it the Oz movie.
The materials cost: About $400.
Do you consider this art or porkography? I think this one's art.
If your pig starred in a movie, who would you cast to play the role? Judy Garland already did it.
This is the 33rd in the series spotlighting a pig from the Big Pig Gig Public Art Project taking place in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport. Past pig profiles can be found on enquirer.com. Click on the Big Pig Gig icon.
