Promotions & new on the job

        • Drew K. Horter has been named president and chief executive officer of Cincinnati-based NationalChildSupport.com., the only independent full-service company that specializes in the collection of unpaid child support. Mr. Horter, a principal of Horter Capital Management LLC, has worked in the financial services industry for many years, including being one of four founders of Spectrum Financial Services Inc. in 1986. He relies heavily on his management experience from the Kroger Co., where he was in charge of a multimillion-dollar retail operation as well as several hundred store employees for one of the company's merchandising departments. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Cincinnati.

        • Larry Glassmann has been appointed senior vice president and general counsel for Duramed Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Glassmann will oversee all Duramed legal matters and will be actively involved in governmental and regulatory affairs, human resources and business development. He will continue to act as the chairman of the Pharmaceutical Committee of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and as the co-chairman of the Defense Research Institute Products Liability Subcommittee. He served most recently as assistant general counsel for Aventis Pharmaceuticals.

        • Michael E. Aiken has been appointed director of the life and financial services department at Wilks Insurance Agency Inc. Mr. Aiken has worked in the insurance industry for 17 years and has been associated with Wilks Insurance Agency for two years. He has also recently received his Chartered Financial Consultants designation (ChFC).

        • Jennifer Green has joined The Cincinnatian Hotel as the newest member of the sales team. Ms. Green brings to the team 18 years of hospitality experience. She has worked with The Omni Netherland Plaza, The Greater Cincinnati Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Westin. She is originally from London, England, and has resided in Cincinnati for 20 years.

        • Dana Clolinger has returned to Sylvan Learning Centers, Educational Excellence Inc., as director of the Eastgate center after a leave of absence. Ms. Clolinger's career began with Sylvan in 1991 when she served as director of the Western Hills center. She has worked in the capacity of center director at other Sylvan locations before joining the Eastgate staff. She was also involved as director of contract services before her leave of absence. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and is a graduate of Kirk Academy.

        • Jim Beaulieu has been appointed supply chain director, organic specialties division of Cognis Corp., a specialty chemical industry company, and Jim Howard and Greg Pflum have been appointed supply chain directors.

        • Peter Dunlap has joined Huntington Bank as assistant vice president/insurance retail group manager. Mr. Dunlap will manage the retail life insurance effort both through the branch outlets and through the retail insurance group. He has more than five years' experience in the insurance industry and received his degree from Babson College.

        • Carmen Quishpe has been named administrative clerk with Libby Perszyk Kathman. Rose Cornell has joined the company as messenger; Jean Beirise as industrial design director; Connie Graff, administrative assistant; Carrie Hensley, administrative clerk; Russ Hickey and Regina Kramer, associate account executives; Michael Wintrob, account coordinator; and Kelly Hoard, quality assurance coordinator.

        • Howard Stringfellow has joined Sibcy Cline Realtors as specialized real estate sales associate, Fairfield office.

        • Tom Vezdos has joined Midwest Manufacturing Solutions, a Cincinnati business improvement firm, as project manager. Mr. Vezdos will specialize in implementing business improvement strategies and overseeing business re-engineering projects in primarily manufacturing enterprises. He was production and maintenance specialist for Ford Motor Co. in Sharonville.

        • The following have joined Coldwell Banker West Shell as real estate sales associates: Arlene Jones-Singeltary, Crestview Hills; Sue Schroer, Harrison/Indiana; Sheila A. Jones, Western Hills; and Lorraine Stevens, West Chester.

        • Tim Fening has been named health-care creative director at Bridge Integrated Communications, a full-service advertising agency; Cathlynn Schansberg and Ray Schmuelling have joined the company as interactive producers; and Sherry Carter as an interactive production assistant.

        • Joel Tiberghien has been named director of design/build services for the Kentucky division of Al Neyer Inc. Mr. Tiberghien's prime responsibilities are business development and overseeing project managers in charge of Neyer's Kentucky commercial real estate development projects. He has spent his entire professional career at Neyer, first as a co-op student from University of Cincinnati's College of Applied Science, where he received a bachelor's degree in construction management.

        • The following have joined Huff Realty as sales associates: M. Joette Frederick, Fairfield; Debbie Robinson, Florence; and Dee Sheringer, Montgomery.

        • Lisa Collins has been named account supervisor at Empower MediaMarketing, Cincinnati.

        • Diann Mahood has been named executive vice president of marketing for the Federated Department Stores Inc., Rich's/Lazarus/Goldsmith's division. Ms. Mahood will oversee all marketing, advertising, special event and public relations functions. She has been with the company for more than 26 years. She will report to Arnie Orlick, chairman and chief executive officer.

        • Todd DeWitt has joined Marconi Communications as an account manager in the Cincinnati office. Mr. DeWitt has 10 years' experience selling in the Cincinnati marketplace and will be responsible for building revenue with an emphasis on the partner channel. The Cincinnati office is responsible for the region encompassing Southern Ohio and Kentucky.

        • Kathy Murphy has been appointed nonprofit regional team leader with Olive LLP. Ms. Murphy will be responsible for developing, managing and coordinating client services in the Cincinnati region with organizations who range across the nonprofit industry. She is a graduate of Miami University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

        • Michael N. Keller has been named director, benchmarking services with Ward Financial Group, a management consulting firm specializing in the insurance industry, and Lori M. Wilhelmy has been named senior consultant.

        • Laura D. Maloney and Andrea M. Brofft have joined Sigma Tek Corp. as marketing associates.

        • Michael W. Flynn has joined the administration group at CDS Associates Inc. as marketing coordinator; D. Michelle Forsyth has joined the architecture group as senior technician; and Michael J. Pope has joined the municipal group as construction ob server.

        • Frank J. LaRosa has joined NS Group Inc. as vice president, human resource and information technology. Mr. LaRosa has more than eight years of corporate human resource experience and over 18 years of information technology experience. He has more than 15 years of steel industry experience.

        • Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers has recognized the following members for outstanding achievements to the society and the engineering profession: Charlene R. Palmer, Distinguished Service Award for lifelong achievement and lifelong contributions to the engineering profession and to KSPE; Randal S. Williamson, D.V. Terrell Award for outstanding service to the profession of engineering and the society during the past year; Robert A. Amato, KSPE's Young Engineer of the Year Award; George W. Watkins, Achievement in Construction Award; Kamyar C. Mahboub, Achievement in Education Award; William A. Bowie Jr., Achievement in Government Award; Gregory L.         • William G. Moll, president of WKRC-TV, Channel 12, will receive the Silver Medal Award from the Advertising Club of Cincinnati at the June 13 Ad Club luncheon.

        • AZA Construction, Murphy Catton Inc., Progressive Rehabilitation, and Trophy Awards Mfg. Inc. have been selected as the 2000 Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Small Business Success Award Winners.

        • Oxford Financial Group, local financial services firm, has changed its name to Lincoln Financial Advisors.
