This is the 36th in the series spotlighting a pig from the Big Pig Gig Public Art Project taking place in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport. Past pig profiles and event details can be found at www.cincinnati.com/bigpiggig
Artist: Julie Riehle, 62, porcelain doll maker, Pierce Township.
Sponsor: The Provident Bank.
This pig's pen: Outside Provident Bank Tower, Fourth and Vine Streets.
You were inspired by: I submitted five designs, but this is not one of them. The bank assigned the design. It is a hot pink pig designed to look like a cow. It's making a sow look like a cow.
You want people to look at this pig and think: I'm glad the people of Cincinnati are finally able to lighten up and have some fun.
Completing the project took: 100 hours.
Swine over matter: Enamels.
Your high on the hog was: Just having fun and not getting too serious about it.
Pig peeve: I don't understand what the design has to do with The Simple Truth.
Best pig tale: I took the pig to the Flower Show freshly coated and still tacky and a street cleaner came by and covered it with a cloud of dust, Fortunately it came off.
My favorite pork dish: Pork ribs.
The materials cost: $200.
Do you consider this art or porkography? This one's not art but it's fun.
