What's the Buzz?

Great American moving to Web

By Cliff Peale
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Great American Insurance Co. has updated the Internet site of its business that sells malpractice insurance to lawyers.

The Cincinnati-based company, the core operating unit of Carl Lindner Jr.'s financial empire, now allows lawyers to apply and renew their malpractice insurance online, often with much of the information filled in automatically.

        The site is www.greatamericanlawyer.com.

The division writes malpractice insurance — one of its many specialty lines — in 43 states and the District of Columbia. It is one of the units of Great American, which is headquartered in Cincinnati.

Great American is a subsidiary of Mr. Lindner's umbrella company, American Financial Group Inc.
