Teen charged in woman's death

Pizza delivery driver may have been raped

The Associated Press

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Fayette County authorities have charged a 19-year-old man with aggravated murder in the death of a woman killed while delivering pizzas in this Southwest Ohio city.

Matthew McCollough, whose address is unknown, turned himself in to Fayette County sheriff's deputies about 3:20 Friday afternoon.

Mr. McCollough is being held without bond.

Precious Canter, 31, of Washington Court House, appeared to have died of massive injuries to the head, Fayette County Coroner Ralph Gebhart said.

Police found Ms. Canter's body about 4 a.m. Thursday near her car in an alley behind a middle school parking lot.

Co-workers at Pizza-N-Motion had reported her missing after she failed to return from a delivery, Police Chief Larry Mongold said.

Mr. Gebhart said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause of death and to establish if Ms. Canter had been raped.

Ms. Canter, who was 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighed about 90 pounds, was found with her shorts around her ankles and her blouse pulled over her head, Mr. Gebhart said.
