Tim Pennington has been named director of public relations for Influence Inc., a marketing and communication firm in Springdale. Mr. Pennington has 20 years' experience in the newspaper and communications industry. He will be responsible for media relations, media consulting and copy writing for clients.
Don Hemmelgarn has been appointed senior vice president and general manager at International TechneGroup Inc., and John Hodges has been named vice president and director, product data management integration unit.
Tom Crusham has been named creative director at Strata-G Communications Inc.; Marc Phelps, senior design specialist; Kelly Pennington and Gary Hempel, senior art directors; and Paul Maffey and Kurt Kretten have joined the company as art directors.
Nancy Ehas and Leslie Massey have been appointed co-directors of the Clermont County Public Library.
Patrick Ballog has joined Radian Guaranty Inc., as senior account executive, assigned to the Indiana and Southern Ohio territories. Radian provides private mortgage insurance and risk management services to mortgage lenders nationwide. Mr. Ballog has 30 years' experience in the mortgage industry. He is a past chairman of the liaison committee of the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association. He has a bachelor's degree from Ohio University.

Dr. Derek van Amerongen has been appointed chief medical officer at ChoiceCare/Humana, Cincinnati-based subsidiary of Humana Inc.

Jim Kuschill has been named senior vice president, chief technology officer at Frequency Marketing Inc. Mr. Kuschill will be responsible for overseeing FMI's technology initiatives including application development and systems support. He has 20 years' experience in software design, systems development and operations support.

Mary Tracey Moore has been named traffic manager at the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Moore joined the chamber in 1994 as a business information specialist. She has worked in the chamber's marketing and communications department for four years. She has a bachelor's degree in advertising from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. Prior to joining the Chamber, she was an intern account coordinator for Saatchi & Saatchi.
Vicki Everett has joined Vivian Llambi & Associates Inc., landscape architecture and planning firm, as administrative assistant, and Amber Daniels joined as marketing assistant.
Sandra G. Willen has been named vice president, relationship manager in private banking and investing at KeyBank in Cincinnati, and Jeanne H. Walther has been named assistant vice president.

Dean Regas has joined the Cincinnati Observatory Center as an outreach education teacher. Mr. Regas received his bachelor's degree in arts and sciences from Xavier University. He was with the Cincinnati Park Board as program director for the Wolff Planetarium in Burnet Woods, in Clifton. He will schedule classroom visits and invite schools to make field trips to the observatory. He will also work with camps during the summer months.
Daniel Popowics and Thomas M. Ruff have been named assistant vice presidents at Fifth Third Bank, and Alison Bristol and Ken Thorsen, assistant cashiers.
Jean Gworek, Greg Marker and Jill Smith have been named seniors in the practice management/practice staff division of Arthur Andersen, Cincinnati office.

Georgia L. Jones has been named human resource and physical plant manager at Greater Cincinnati Television Educational Foundation's WCET 48.
Richard D. Earl has joined Barnes, Dennig & Co., Ltd., Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors, as chief financial officer. Mr. Earl will be responsible for managing internal financial and accounting matters for the firm. He joined the company with 22 years of career experience, most recently at Grant Thornton, where he served as regional controller. He graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Dr. Karen Glandon, podiatric surgeon, and Dr. Jesse Portugal, a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, have joined Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine.
James E. Jones has been named vice president, manufacturing and operations at Edge Graphics, printing company; John P. Royse, vice president, finance and administration; David Conner, manager of pre-press and pressroom operations; Mike Kammerer has joined the company as manager of finishing/shipping/receiving operations; and Vince Kramer joined as a sales representative.
Gerry Kaminski has joined the Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati as vice president and chief operating officer. Ms. Kaminski manages the collaborative's day-to-day operations. Her duties include supervising staff and consultants, managing budgets and leading program and strategic planning efforts. In addition to her position with the collaborative, she is on the adjunct faculty at Xavier University, where she teaches managerial concepts in health care to graduate students enrolled in the master's in hospital and health services administration program.
Patricia Heimbuch, Lewis Goldberg, and Timothy Hor nung, financial advisers with American Express in the Cincinnati office, have been appointed members of the advanced adviser group senior financial advisers (platinum team).
Steve Callahan has been named manager of business services at Loth Mbi. Mr. Callahan will oversee sales efforts for Loth Mbi's move management, facilities services and asset management divisions. He was manager of asset management for the company. He has 22 years of experience in the industry.
Marek Dollar, chairman of the department of mechanical, materials and aerospace engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, has been named dean of Miami University's School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Jayne Irvin has been named president for university advancement at Miami University.
Ladonna Bumpus has been named trust lending and credit officer at Firstar Bank. Ms. Bumpus joined Firstar in 1995 as a credit analyst. Her previous position was manager of the new commercial account analysis department. She will be responsible for all lending and credit decisions for the mutual fund component of the trust division.
Jeffrey Siebert has joined Paramount's Kings Island, as market communications area manager.
Tom Jones has been named director of marketing for Tournament Players Club at River's Bend that will open for play in spring 2001. Mr. Jones will be responsible for membership development at Ohio's first TPC course. He was marketing manager for the Ohio Casualty Group.
Joe Mack has been named director, national television accounts for the broadcast communications division at Harris Corp.
Pete Buscani has been named executive vice president, marketing at LaRosa's Inc. Mr. Buscani has served the business as an account supervisor for seven years during his tenure as vice president at Northlich, an advertising agency that has been LaRosa's agency of record for the last nine years.
