        Ault Park: Annual Fourth of July celebration begins with a children's bike parade 9 a.m. today. Flag ceremony at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks at 10 p.m. Park is at end of Observatory Avenue in Mount Lookout. 352-4080.

        Colerain Township: Huge “4th of July Spectacular” at Colerain Township Administration Complex, beginning with 5-K Run and Walk, 9 a.m., car show, noon-4 p.m. and live entertainment, 3-10 p.m., including '60s group the Crystals at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks display closes festivities, 4200 Springdale Road. 385-7500.

        Taste of Boone County: At Turfway Park, food, live entertainment, car show, bingo, more, 5-9 p.m. today. 371-0200.

        Loveland 4th of July: In downtown Loveland, parade, food, live entertainment by Rabbit Hash String Band, children's activities, fireworks, 5-11 p.m. today. 588-0418.

STAYING IN
        TV picks: TV is full of music and fireworks tonight:

        • A Capitol Fourth (8 p.m., PBS), from the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol, with Barry Bostwick singing the opening number and introducing some top people: Ray Charles and Lee Ann Womack.

        • On Pops Goes the Fourth (7:30 p.m., A&E; repeats 10:30 p.m.), conductor Keith Lockhart leads a three-hour Boston Pops show.

        • In a retro mood, NBC's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular (9 p.m., Channels 5, 22), mixes in songs from the Broadway revivals of The Music Man and Kiss Me Kate.

        • Our own Erich Kunzel starts and ends Cincinnati Pops Holiday: Fourth of July From the Heartland (9:30 p.m., PBS) with fireworks. In between, he has music by Tom Wopat, Doc Severinsen and Rosemary Clooney, plus readings by Danny Glover.

WHAT'S IN STORES TODAY
        Just peachy: Here's a healthy alternative for kids' summer lunches or snacks. Dole Fruit Bowls are all-natural, bite-sized fruit packed in clear plastic bowls with peel-off lids.
