Suspects sought in fatal robbery

Cincinnati police are seeking three suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Bubacarr Kassama, 25, of Colerain Township, whose body was found on the sidewalk on Fulton Avenue in Walnut Hills early Sunday.

Homicide Unit officers said robbery was the apparent motive for the shooting. They said Mr. Kassama and a friend were at the Yacht Club in Clifton when they met two women.

All four went to Fulton Avenue in a vehicle driven by Mr. Kassama. One of the women talked to a man on the street, then led the other occupants of the car into a building on Fulton. When Mr. Kassama, his friend and the other woman exited the building a few minutes later, an unknown male approached Mr. Kassama and demanded his jewelry.

Police said witnesses told them Mr. Kassama was shot within moments. The two women and the friend fled.

No arrests have been made, but police are seeking three men who were in the area of 2100 Fulton at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 352-3040, or the Homicide Unit at 352-3542. Callers may remain anonymous.
