        Sponsor: Christ Church Cathedral.

This pig's pen: Fourth and Sycamore, downtown, at Christ Church Cathedral.

You were inspired by: Christ Church wanted to do a pig but didn't see any designs they liked. I'm a parishioner and an artist and graphic designer, so they asked me. At first, I thought that making a pig into an angel might be considered, well, sinful. I think this is the only church doing a pig.

What's the pig idea? It is a guardian angel. It is dressed in purple, because that is the color of cathedrals.

You want people to look at this pig and think: That the people at Christ Church Cathedral have a sense of humor and participate in the life of the community.

Completing the project took: Four weeks.

What's the matter? It has a stained-glass halo and a mosaic tile base. The head had to be cut open to build a support for the halo. The robe is fiberglass.

Your high on the hog was: To see all the pieces put together and to watch people enjoying it.

Pig peeve: Itching. When you sand fiberglass it gets everywhere, and it makes you itch.

Best pig tale: I go down every two weeks to inspect it and to see if it has been damaged. I was looking at it with someone from the church and a woman and her little girl came up to see it. My friend said, “You're in luck, because the artist is right here.” The little girl reached in her little purse and gave me a piece of candy. That was my reward for doing the pig.”

My favorite pork dish: Pork chops.

What do you call this pig: The church gave me a studio to work in. Every morning when I came in I would say “Hello Piggy.”

        The materials cost: $800.

Do you consider this art or porkography? I believe that it is art because of all the research that went into the study of sacred art. It wasn't made just for fun. It's more than that.

If your pig starred in a movie, who would you cast to play the role? Isabella Rossellini, because she has such an angelic face.

This is 80th in a series spotlighting pigs from the Big Pig Gig Public Art Project taking place in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport. Find past pig profiles at enquirer.com. Look for a new map in a special section on Saturday.
