Paramedics rushed to a Roselawn home Friday morning to aid a woman who reportedly had tried to kill herself. Hours later, police arrested her husband and charged him with murder.

Carol J. Thomas, 51, of the 1800 block of Greenbriar Place, was found dead in her home after paramedics and firefighters arrived at 8:28 a.m. Cincinnati Po lice said her husband, Victor Lee Thomas, 44, had made the 911 call.

Mr. Thomas, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct during an argument with neighbors last month, was then taken into custody and questioned about his wife's death.

Cincinnati police said that on further investigation, , and after an examination of Mrs. Thomas' body by the Hamilton County Coroner's office, Mr. Thomas was charged with murder.

Mr. Thomas remains in custody while police continue to investigate the death.

Neighbors along Greenbriar Place said Mrs. Thomas had health problems and that Mr. Thomas was at times argumentative with others on the street.

During the afternoon of June 20, Cincinnati police were called to Mr. Thomas' residence on reports that he was intoxicated and threatening a neighbor. He was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
